What's in the Oregon rate file
Oregon data ships inside every edition — we do not sell single-state files. Each row carries the ZIP code, county and city name, the rate at each jurisdiction level, the combined total, and whether shipping is taxable. The higher editions add district reporting codes, FIPS codes, effective dates and sales tax holiday windows.

How local tax works in Oregon. Oregon has no general state or local sales or use tax. A small number of cities levy narrow prepared-food or lodging taxes administered by the city itself.
Worth knowing. No sales tax permit, return or rate table exists. The only sales-adjacent state taxes are the vehicle privilege and use taxes on new vehicles, the bicycle excise tax, and the gross-receipts-style Corporate Activity Tax — none charged to customers at the register.
Questions
Oregon sales tax questions
What is the sales tax rate in Oregon?
The statewide base rate is 0%. Oregon does not levy a statewide sales tax. There are no local sales taxes either.
Is shipping taxable in Oregon?
Generally no. In Oregon a delivery charge is not taxable, and combining it with handling does not make it taxable.
That distinction catches people out, which is why our file carries both flags — TAX_SHIPPING_ALONE and TAX_SHIPPING_AND_HANDLING_TOGETHER — on every row, for the specific jurisdiction. Your system doesn't have to encode the rule.
How many sales tax jurisdictions are there in Oregon?
None — Oregon has no county, city or district sales taxes, so the state rate is the entire rate across all 479 OR ZIP codes. That is rare, and it is why a single statewide number is safe here and almost nowhere else.
